Strengthening IT controls for effective risk management in government operations

This session equips government professionals with the knowledge to identify and manage IT risks through effective general IT controls (ITGCs). Participants will explore how IT risk components intersect with operational goals such as service continuity, data integrity and regulatory compliance. The session also guides attendees in proposing enhancements to their control frameworks to ensure IT risk is proactively addressed within public sector mandates and accountability structures.

Unlocking efficiency: Outsourcing strategies for government operations

This session explores how outsourcing can help government organizations improve efficiency, reduce risk and redirect resources toward core public services like citizen engagement, service accessibility and community needs. Participants will examine the benefits and risks of outsourcing, consider how it aligns with strategic and operational goals, and discuss key factors that influence successful implementation, including governance, accountability and service quality.
