Making The Most of Recent Tax Credit Legislation

In December 2019, HR 1865, the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act was signed into law. This Act included renewals, re-enactments and a new disaster relief tax credit for 2018-2019.

The vital programs included in this Act include several provisions that may impact employers and might affect companies’ 2018-2019 tax returns.

Join us for the next installment in our Workplace Spotlight webcast series and get important insights on how this legislation may impact you and how your company may consider the Act’s various provisions, such as:

  • What are the criteria for the new Disaster Employee Retention Credit for 2018-2019, how does it differ from previous disaster credits and where does your company fit?
  • With the re-enactment of the Federal Empowerment Zone (EZ) and Federal Indian Employment (IEC) credits, what practices in your hiring process should you have in place now to maximize these credits?
  • How may the extension of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and Employer Credit for Paid Family and Medical Leave Credit (FMLA) impact your company?
