Earned Wage Access (EWA) is the newest technology by which employees can efficiently access their earned wages prior to the next payday.  EWA has proven to be extremely helpful to consumers as they strive to meet expenses, even while their next paycheck may be a week or two away.  EWA is broadly popular across workers in every industry and pay range, as workers have been able to avoid costly bank overdraft and late-payment fees, payday loans and other costly short-term options. EWA can be offered as a benefit to employees, with no effect to normal payroll operations.  Regulators are reviewing these offerings and exploring what consumer protections should apply.

Join us to understand the rising demand for EWA and receive critical insights on what employers need to keep in mind when considering EWA, including:

  • Research addressing how EWA is highly desired by workers in every industry and pay range
  • The impact to recruitment, retention, and engagement of talent when employers offer EWA
  • Pros and cons to EWA alternatives in the market today that employers should be aware of
  • Federal and state regulatory proposals to address EWA

ADP remains at the forefront of helping employers understand the complex compliance, financial, and strategic issues surrounding workforce management. Tap into our expertise to ensure you’re in the best shape possible for future workplace changes that may come about along the way.
