Proposed regulations on Revenue Recognition

Program content:The IRS and Treasury have issued the highly-anticipated, proposed regulations regarding federal income tax revenue recognition, which was modified by the TCJA.  We will explore some of the proposed tax revenue recognition rules and explain some frequent fact patterns in which the intersection with the new book ASC 606 revenue rules are creating unexpected complexities in tax for some taxpayers.

Taxpayers are allowed to rely on the proposed regulations until final regulations are issued. This webcast will walk through some of the major provisions.

In addition, we will spend time explaining the implications of the new proposed regulations.
