Join us for our 2023 quarterly accounting update webcast series.

Join us Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at 1 p.m. EDT, for the fall webcast of RSM US LLP’s quarterly accounting update. In this session, we will discuss the final provisions of the FASB’s recently issued Accounting Standards Update (ASU) No. 2023-05 on joint venture formation, which will significantly transform the accounting for joint venture activity. The session will also cover the details of the FASB’s proposed ASU related to the disclosure of disaggregated income statement information. Finally, our presenters will provide updates on other FASB standard-setting activity and discuss practical considerations for applying other complex accounting guidance.

Learning objectives:

By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss recently finalized and proposed accounting guidance from the FASB and other U.S. standard setters and regulators related to joint venture accounting and income statement disaggregating and identify how it may affect reporting entities.
  • Describe the status of other ongoing financial reporting projects of the FASB and other U.S. standard setters.
  • Understand specific practice issues, market developments and related financial reporting considerations.
