Program Content: Democratic lawmakers are regrouping to salvage key tax priorities after Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., likely doomed their full $1.9 trillion reconciliation bill. While the sweeping tax title envisioned earlier in the process may be impossible, Democrats are exploring new strategies to address the most pressing issues. Join us for a discussion on how Democrats are looking to pivot, and which aspects of their tax agenda may still survive. We’ll cover the outlook on key Democratic tax priorities, including enacting international tax reform to conform to recent global tax agreements, resurrecting alternative energy extensions and enhancements, postponing R&D amortization, providing SALT cap relief, and extending other expiring provisions.
