Technology’s impact on fraud schemes: What you need to know

Program ContentIn today’s fast-paced environment, technological innovations are creating ever new challenges for not-for-profit organizations and higher education institutions to defend against fraudsters who are finding ways to exploit these new technical capabilities and greater data availability. This webcast will focus on emerging technologies that have opened the door to new and more pervasive forms of fraud; and have at the same time created new fraud prevention tools, such as digital forensics, data mining, advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence. Screening for risk factors and learning early warning signs, these new tools uncover fraud cases more quickly and significantly reduce losses. We will share tips on how to recognize new technology threats and how to best utilize new technology that could stop scams before they happen.
