The changing landscape of unclaimed property regulation
August 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
FreeEvent Navigation

Participants of the free live webinar will be eligible for 1 CPE credits.
Event details
With the first nationwide unclaimed property law debuting in 1954 as a draft by the Commission on Uniform State Laws, the need for organizations to comply with the regulations in this area are not new. However, what is new for 2022 is how state attorneys general and even federal agencies are applying the law across state lines. This webinar will examine changing trends in litigation and audit focus, specific unclaimed property risks, and opportunities for organizations to use data and refine their existing processes.
After attending this webinar, you should be able to:
- Discuss current lawsuits that could dramatically change the landscape of unclaimed property (including litigation directly involving individuals and executive leadership)
- Identify financial, staffing, and public relations risks facing healthcare providers
- Outline currently available opportunities from various states, such as one-time amnesty and voluntary disclosure
- Articulate how leading organizations are using benchmarking and data analytics to manage unclaimed property oversight more effectively
Healthcare operations professionals are being challenged to streamline processes while maintaining compliance. Join us to assess your current approach to unclaimed property oversight and how it compares to leading practices and benchmarks across the industry.
