Top Care Delivery Risks That Could Jeopardize Your Organization

September 17, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Participants of the live webinar will be eligible for 1 free CPE credit.

Event details

Ensuring the quality and safety of patient care is inherent to the mission of healthcare providers. Diligent and continuous focus is needed to prevent and mitigate clinical process failures, which put patients at risk but also place healthcare facilities at risk with regard to reputation and loss of revenue due to readmission, extended length of stay, government imposed penalties, and lawsuits. Medical errors resulting from clinical process failures, such as diagnostic errors, medical mistakes, the absence of safety nets, poorly coordinated care, and unwarranted variation in physician practice patterns, are the third leading cause of death, resulting in over 250,000 deaths per year in the U.S. alone. This session will provide an update on top clinical risks in the healthcare industry and how a clinical risk assessment can help identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks.
