Participants of the free live webinar will be eligible for 1 CPE credit.
Our U.S./UK tax webcast series explores the two very different tax environments and focuses on key issues that arise for businesses with cross-border U.S./UK interests.
There have been key changes to the R&D regimes in both the U.S. and UK, many of which will have a direct impact on the benefit that claimant companies can receive. This webinar will cover topics including but not limited to:
- Introduction of R&D expenditure capitalization in the U.S.
- Changes to the UK regime including reduction in rates, changes in qualifying costs and a move to a territorial basis of claim
- Scrutiny from tax authorities in the UK and U.S.
- Cross-border considerations where global groups are claiming in both territories
This session will be highly relevant to businesses claiming, or looking to claim, tax relief for the cost of investing in innovation in the U.S. and/or the UK.
