Bridging the Gap: Leveraging the New Internal Audit Standards to Elevate Value and Cross-Functional Collaboration

February 11, 2025 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EST

Free 1 CPE credit

The Details

Earlier this year, the Institute of Internal Auditors released updated standards to reflect a greater emphasis on internal audit quality, strategy, use of technology, and cross-functional collaboration. The IIA hopes that compliance with the new standards will foster an integrated risk management and compliance approach that strengthens resilience and aligns organizations with best practices. This shift toward deeper collaboration across departments creates a foundation for a more unified and effective risk management strategy.

Please join members of our CohnReznick Risk Advisory team and internal audit leaders as they explore the impact of the updated standards and the potential value that adoption of the new standards can drive across organizations in terms of improved communication, streamlining processes, and creating a cohesive response to emerging risks.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • An overview of the key changes to the IIA standards and their impact on your organization
  • How aligning internal audit, risk management, and compliance strengthens governance and creates a holistic view of risk
  • The strategic role of internal audit in facilitating communication and collaboration between departments
  • Strategies for implementing cross-functional practices that drive compliance efficiency, transparency, and stronger risk management
  • Tools and frameworks that support cross-functional communication
  • Advantages of adopting the IIA standards

Live webinar participants are anticipated to qualify for 1 CPE credit in the Information Technology field of study.
