From desktop to cloud: What a high-volume tax workflow looks like in ProConnect Tax

Intuit CPE webinars

July 21 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EDT

Free 1 CPE credit

Description

For high-volume firms, moving tax prep to the cloud isn’t just a software decision. It’s a workflow decision.

In this session, hear from Nick Boscia, CPA, EA, whose firm used Lacerte for years before transitioning to ProConnect Tax. Boscia & Boscia, PC prepares approximately 1,200 returns with a team of 10, giving attendees a practical look at how an established firm evaluated the move from a long-standing desktop workflow to cloud-based tax preparation.

Nick will share why his firm made the transition, what they considered before switching, what changed in their day-to-day workflow, and what they would tell other firms exploring a similar move. The session will also show what a high-volume workflow can look like in ProConnect Tax, including remote access, automatic updates, multiple-return review, Smart Return, and the SmartVault + ProConnect Tax integration.

Attendees will leave with practical questions to ask before moving from desktop to cloud, plus a clearer view of how ProConnect Tax can support a modern tax workflow for firms preparing hundreds of returns.

  • Identify key factors to consider before moving from desktop tax software to cloud-based tax preparation
  • Recognize how cloud-based workflows can affect access, updates, review, and document management
  • Describe how one high-volume firm evaluated and transitioned to ProConnect Tax
