Mel Schwarz, J.D., CPA, Director of Legislative Affairs

Mel serves as Director of Tax Legislative Affairs in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where he focuses on the implementation of recent tax legislation. He has 40 years of experience in the world of tax legislation in Washington, D.C., including six years spent on the staff of the Joint Committee of Taxation. He is a past chairman of the Tax Legislation Committee of the AICPA and a sought-after speaker for AICPA, TEI, and FEI conferences.
