Summer Kickoff – Recent State Legislation and Implications of One Big, Beautiful Bill

As everyone glides into summer mode, the state and local tax scene has been quite active over the past month or so. A number of state legislatures have adjourned for the year after passing some significant tax measures and finalizing their FY 2026 budgets. In addition, the U.S. Congress has been at work on the FY 2025 Budget Reconciliation Bill, known as the One Big, Beautiful Bill, that contains a range of tax provisions with implications for states. Join our Washington National Tax SALT professionals who will review significant state legislation in Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, Maryland, New York, and Washington State, among others. In addition, they will discuss some of the provisions of the congressional bill with significant implications for states.
