Webcast overview

KPMG is pleased to invite you to our panel discussion on the current regulatory landscape for digital assets.

In the rapidly evolving world of digital assets, regulatory clarity remains elusive. Disparate legal and regulatory frameworks for different digital assets (cryptocurrencies, utility tokens, and security tokens) present inconsistent and in some cases conflicting regulatory demands. Our panel of KPMG subject matter professionals from our Risk Services network, along with a group industry professionals, will decode the regulatory obligations from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Federal Reserve (Fed), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), along with select state and international regulatory bodies.

Our cross-functional panel of Technology Risk, FS Regulatory Risk and Compliance, and Forensics professionals will delve into the following:

  • A comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape for digital assets
  • Recent developments and interpretations by key regulatory bodies
  • An overview of regulatory requirements by several key regulators
  • Best practices for compliance with evolving regulations

Continuing education

There will be one continuing professional education (CPE) credit available to participants who participate in the live webcast and meet the eligibility requirements. The webcast will last approximately one hour.
