Artificial intelligence (AI) is swiftly transforming the business landscape, presenting organizations with both promising opportunities and new risk considerations. Successful internal audit teams are adjusting their understanding of organizational risk and adapting their audit plans to account for the increasing usage of AI by their organizations. By leveraging AI, internal auditors can enhance both the efficiency and effectiveness of their methodologies.
In this session, Harold Silverman, the IIA’s Senior Director of Audit Committee & Corporate Governance Engagement, will deliver a timely overview of the internal audit profession’s stance on leveraging AI — drawing on the latest research, including the IIA’s 2024 North American Pulse of Internal Audit, and insights from AuditBoard.
