Updates on the New CMMC Proposed Rule

On December 26, 2023, the Department of Defense published for comment a proposed rule for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 program. This proposed rule has raised many questions and concerns from government contractors, ranging from issues on the cost impact and obstacles created, concerns over the aggressive timeline, and questions on how to recover related allowable costs.
In this session, we will review the key takeaways from the CMMC proposed rule so far, address the potential cost impacts of CMMC and challenges, and discuss forward strategies to address cost recovery.
