From Compliance to Competitive Edge: Mastering CMMC & Supply Chain Cybersecurity

As cyber threats continue to evolve, organizations within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and beyond face increasing pressure to secure sensitive information and demonstrate compliance with emerging standards. This webinar will reinforce the critical importance of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) readiness, while also exploring the broader landscape of cyber-supply chain risk management (SCRM).
Participants will learn how early CMMC certification can serve as a powerful competitive differentiator, and how delayed compliance may create significant barriers to business opportunities. The session will provide practical insights into the work required to establish and maintain secure enclaves for the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Covered Defense Information (CDI), as well as the necessity of robust data classification policies.
This presentation will highlight the responsibilities of Prime contractors in managing the cybersecurity readiness and CMMC certification of their entire supply chain. We will discuss how SCRM integrates into CMMC readiness, including the steps Primes must take to assess, monitor, and support their subcontractors’ compliance efforts. Subcontractors will gain valuable guidance on how to proactively prepare for CMMC certification before being required by their Primes, positioning themselves as trusted partners.
Attendees will additionally receive updates on the latest CMMC rulemaking and developments from the Cyber Accreditation Body (Cyber-AB), as well as lessons learned from recent cyber-fraud and export control violation cases. The webinar will conclude with actionable best practices for managing cyber risks across the supply chain, empowering organizations to enhance their resilience and compliance posture, and effectively manage contractually mandated cyber flow-downs.

Information about CPE Eligibility
To receive CPE credit for participation in a BDO webcast program, you must respond to the occasional polls that appear throughout the program and be in attendance for a minimum of 50 minutes. You will receive an email notification following the program if you completed the necessary polls and qualified for CPE credit. This email will include instructions on how to access your CPE certificate.
Please Note: Per BDO USA’s CPE Compliance policy, CPE will not be issued for programs that fail to comply with the NASBA Standards, or to individuals who do not meet the attendance requirements. For example, a professional attending a webcast must respond to at least 3 polls per CPE credit.
