Getting started with AI for internal audit

Optro CPE webinars

August 5 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EDT

Free 1 CPE credit

Description:

Internal audit teams know AI could reshape how they work, but knowing where to begin is something else entirely. The market is crowded with tools, the vocabulary is unfamiliar, and the distance between a polished demo and a deployment that holds up under regulatory scrutiny is wide. Many organizations stall before they start, unsure whether to build their own solutions or buy off the shelf, wary of the misconceptions that quietly derail early efforts.

This session draws on the real AI journeys of two major enterprises, Yahoo and Verizon, to show what a credible path forward actually looks like. Through candid lessons learned, you will see how each team moved from experimentation to adoption, the pitfalls they hit along the way, and the framework they used to weigh building versus buying. We will also tackle the question every audit leader is asking: How do you keep pace when the technology shifts every few months?

Attendees will leave with a grounded, practical

perspective and the confidence to take a meaningful first step toward AI adoption.

Learning objectives:

  •  Examine how Yahoo and Verizon deployed AI in internal audit and the lessons that shaped each rollout.
  • Identify the most common pitfalls and misconceptions that stall AI adoption and the practices to avoid them.
  • Apply a build-versus-buy framework to evaluate AI tools and keep pace with a rapidly changing landscape.
