Federal Contractors & GHG Reporting: 5 Steps to Prepare
November 14, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EST
FreeParticipants of the free live webinar will be eligible for 1 CPE credit.
Earlier this year, the U.S. government closed the comment period for a proposed regulation that could require federal contractors to report their organization’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions—a substantial shift from the voluntary disclosures many have published in the past. The proposed regulation is being rolled out at the same time as the SEC continues to draft a GHG disclosure policy for publicly traded companies and individual states implement their own GHG disclosure laws.
Join us for an insightful webinar as we provide a five-step approach that can help contractors be successful in this dynamic regulatory environment. FORVIS’ Bill Walter, Anika Muslawski, and Dr. Trey Murphy will:
- Describe the current state of GHG regulations in the U.S. for government contractors
- Analyze the proposed requirements for government contractors
- Outline five steps that government contractors can take to prepare for new and upcoming GHG-related policies
Learning Objectives
- Describe the proposed GHG rule
- Discuss the many facets of GHG reporting
- Plan a pathway to prepare for GHG disclosure
